I don't know if I am the only one of whom is feeling the same way that I am at this moment, but I am finding that my brain is swirling. I am trying to keep up with others' posts, but I am finding it quite a challenge. I feel like the spokes of a wheel right now. I think I am going in a straight line, but then I read something that sends me off onto another pathway. It is great that I am finding out new things, but I am feeling as if I have no direction and can not focus on any one or two things. I am sooo glad that Alec is giving us this week to "catch-up", but now it is Wednesday, and I feel like I could use another week just to sift through all the great posts that have been submitted.
I am sure you have noticed by now, but this course is very much about autonomy and self-direction. I am not here to give you a particular course, but try my best to give you many different directions to choose from. Unfortunately, that sometimes puts into this "Paradox of Choice" (as Barry Schwartz calls it - see book or his TED Talk).
So what excites you? What do you want to learn more about? What cause around openness can you get behind? How can you apply what you have learned to your own practice? How can you get others (colleagues perhaps?) interested in OERs, sharing, openness, etc. These are just some of the places where you could focus.
I hope this helps a little. Wherever you end up with this course is ultimately up to you.
